What is your favorite formation to run OSV from? To which side? Against what defense?

Coach,
We like the OSV against any defense in which #1 (dive key on ISV) is squeezing very hard or pinching the B-gap and/or #2 (pitch key on ISV) is on the LOS. We'll block #1, dive off of #2 and pitch off of #3 or the CB. We run it from the flexbone.
Does anyone run the OSV to a SE side (no slotback)? What fronts is it good against?

We actually will run it out of split backs to the SE side against a 4-4, if the DT is in a 2 and IsLB is stacked.behind.we combo the DT and LB with ps guard/tackle.We read the 5(DE) and option the OsLB. Stalk the corner with SE. When the DT moves to a 3 tech, then we go to inside veer. (I personally don't think the stack is a good look for the defense but we see it to the openside more than you'd think. But hey, I'm not the defensive guy!!!)

The outside veer is best utilized when a team has a 4/5 technique that is pinching down to take away the inside veer.

It was by far our best play this year---most of the time to the weak side(we do have a slot weak).Sometimes we cracked with our SE on the FS and took the ball to the CB for pitch.

At the program I was at this past year, we ran OSV to the TE most of the time. We saw 6I (inside shade of TE) most of the time, he was keep/pull read. TE released to OLB. Tackle/Guard combo blocked the 3 tech to playside inside and safety/force player was pitch/keep read.
