out of doubles gun, you can run counter gt
or counter gf if it is your fb in there
the back just becomes the fill man and the guard stays the kickout
out of a two te set or a slot set you can run counter gfz, gty
super counters are cool

If I have the guys to do it (athletic linemen) I like to pull two with no fill man but read the backside DE. I have my back fill B gap if I fake to him and run the QB counter.

TOG....when in doubles, do you think you really gain an advantage pulling gt? We usually block the backside linebacker with the center and just pull the backside tackle. Playside, we like to "feather block" the end upfield. We have had ALOT of success running that play.

Playside, we like to "feather block" the end upfield. We have had ALOT of success running that play. you are talking about what i know as dart or scat great play, it is essentially counter gt with the psot kicking out the psde by technique we run that too, generally when we are trying to slow down the rush, or when our tackles are too slow to get there on the gt we will also run dart with the back being the lead man and block it the same, as dart, just have the bsot stay on his man, making the read now off, just have the qb run it, there are a ton of easy wrinkles you can add as for the counter gt.. to me it is our attitude play, those de's will come in there and try and blow it up but after about the first quarter, they get tired of having our biggest tough guys smush them into the ground, and it opens up, we hit it downhill so much anyway the kickout is not that big a deal, we teach the back to press the heels of the pulling ot just like he was a fullback in a traditional I lead play. counter gt is my favorite play we make sure the pulling ot keeps his shoulders square and hits it up in there

Here's a P**s poor diagram I did in paint of the wrap play. Sorry I was too lazy to draw the defense. <img src='http://x2.putfile.com/3/7116060741.jpg' alt='Hosted by Putfile.com'>
We ran this at the beginning of the '03 season and had tremendous success running the dart(play same side as back, FB still the ball carrier). For some reason we never had much success running the play I diagrammed b/c we kept gettin penetration in our A gap's and that would blow up our pulling tackle. So after two games with little to no success running the football we started pulling both Guard and Tackle which upped our offensive production from 250 yards of total offense in the first two games to averaging over 350 for the remainder of the season. The problem the first two games was we couldn't run the football other than the QB Draw. I like the way the wrap looked on paper, but for us it was easier to pull both.

RLCoogs are you from Rosebud-Lott? If so, I'm from down the road. We discussed y'alls offense and converted to it. Now instead of pulling the tackle we pull both.
