What would be nice for youth coaches trying to figure things out would be a break down as to what the different options ARE and why to run each one. For instance, how is midline different from triple, how do Inside and Outside Veer vary from belly option and triple option, etc. A simple breakdown of each style so that coaches just learning about the option would have a chance to figure out what they want to run, and what area to look for more information. Thanks got a great site here. Like it, ill post more in the future.

I can give it a shot.
Midline is the correct name for the triple option where the fullbacks coarse is up the centers crack. Some call it "triple"
Inside Veer is where the fullbacks path is to the outside hip of the guard. It can be run to either side.
Outside Veer is when the fullbacks course is the the inside hip of the Tackle. It should only be run to the TE side.
Speed Option is a double option with either the FB in the Double Slot or Tailback in the I. It hits to the 8 or the 9 hole. Sometimes this is called a QB / FB Option.
Lead / Load is the same with a blocking FB leading the way.
Belly Option is simply a belly play run to the 4 or 5 hole traditionally but with a pull. It is usually a double option with a predetermined pull. A slot can lead the way in certain situations. There is sometimes a guard leading the way to kick out the first down lineman 2 technique or wider, thats called a trap option but is very simular to the belly option.
Counter option is usually a midline or inside veer play for the fullback where the fullback dives to one side and the option goes the other way. So the FB dives to the 3 hole, the HB takes counter steps as if to run miline or inside veer and then reverses direction and runs option to the 8 hole.
My favorite is the QB Duck. This is a Double Option where it is run exactly like Midline but with no motion (out of double slot) The near slot runs an Iso on the ILB and if the first man outside the FB's course takes him the QB pulls and replaces the DT or 3 Tech and heads up field... very difficult to defend, very easy to teach.
Hope this helps

one other thing, at a young age, I'd say 13 and younger, you want to run a double options and probably not triple. So you may have (Inside Veer) Pro Right 34 Give and Pro Right 34 Option...
