My favorite set is one back with a slot(pro -slot,or trips)The slot back is always the pitch man(wing-t motion to Te;Twirl motion away). This gives you all the veer stuff and a great passing game with 4 recievers but it is still 2 backs, instead of 3 like flexbone. We are usually doing good to find 2 or 3 running backs, much less 5 or 6 like flexbone;wing-t. You can use just 3 man routes and keep your Te in to protect also, which is what we did so the protection stayed simple and our slot was always in the route.

2 se and 2 slots.I like knowing that the corners will not be involved. with the te there is always a concern the corner will be involved. We are balanced and if the def is not we have an advantage.
