Coaches, . From a pro back set, one TE, what would be the blocking rules for the ISV vs a 4-4 look,a 50 with an eagle to the weak side and 4-6 "Bear" look? I know there are several new option coaches looking at this board and it would be helpful. Thanks

Here is what we do out of split backs.
Versus a 4-4 vs. a 7 tech and a 3 tech, we will combo the 3 tech with the PSG and PST to the PSILB. The TE will arc release to the FS whil we read the 7 for dive, OLB for pitch.
Versus a 50 weak eagle vs. a 9/8 tech and a 5/4 tech, we will have the PST dip and rip to the PSILB, the PSG will combo the NG with the Center to the BSILB, and the TE will arc release to the SS. We read the 5/4 for the dive, 9 tech for pitch.
vs. a 9/8 with a 4 i, we will loop/zone block the play. The PST will outside release to the PSILB, eryone else does the same.
We love to run it to the TE side.

Coach,
We are a flexbone (double slot) team. Our blocking rules cover every front...
BST, BSG zone scoop the BS A and B gaps C: Reach, on, backer PSG: 1st DL on PS PST: inside (1st defender inside, on or off the LOS)
VERSUS A 4-4, the rules interprete like this... C: Reach the A-gap (combo with PSG to BSLB); if there's no A-gap DT, work up to BSLB PSG: has the DT (if he's in the A-gap, combo with center and come off to BSLB; if he's in the B-gap, combo with PST and he comes off) PST: Combo with PSG against a 3-tech, come off to PSLB; if no 3-tech, then go right to LB. PSHB (slot) will 'wall' the PSILB if he scrapes. If he plugs, then slot goes to safety. DIVE KEY (#1): DE PITCH KEY (#2): OLB NOTE: If the DT is in a '3', then midline is better.
VERSUS A 50 WEAK EAGLE... Midline or lead option to the '3' side (weak side) To the 5-tech side... C, PSG combo the shaded NT to the BSLB PST goes inside to the PSLB PSHB has the safety DIVE KEY (#1): DT PITCH KEY (#2): DE NOTE: OSV is a better play if #1 is pinching hard
VERSUS A BEAR 46... Lead option to the weak side is best (better than ISV) To the strong side... C has the NT PSG, PST combo the '3' to the BSLB PSHB has to block either of the LB's on his face or the SS screwed into the front. The problem is if he blocks the one on the inside, then he's blocking the dive key. If he blocks the one on the outside, then he'll have a tough time preventing him from getting to the pitch. Getting to the SS with the two LB's in his face will be very difficult. Your best bet might be OSV to the strong side.

Our veer rules are pretty simple. The slotback blocks the inside linebacker, the tackle will double team with the guard. If there is nobody for him to double team, he blocks the inside linebacker. The guard blocks the 1st DL on or inside of him. The Center blocks the first playside defender. The backside will cutoff and not allow anyone on the backside to cross their face.
Those are our inside veer blocking rules.
