If you could only run 5 plays, what would they be? And from what formations would you run them? I want to see the popular consensus among experienced option coaches.

Okay... let's see -
1) 2 Tights - OSV 2) 2 Tights - Cntr-Trey 3) 2 Tights - Inside Trap 3) Twins/3 Wides - Midline/ISV <check w/me>(I'm cheatin!) 4) Twins/3 Wides - Speed Option 5) ANY formation (inc. Pro set) - Play action "Seam" route to inside reciever to two rec. side.
If I can do it, I will run #1, 2, 3, & 5 (from 2 Tights) <maybe some ISV if its a 50 and the DTs start cheating out due to the mucho double teams from the OSV and CNTrey> all night and never come out of it. But there's always something the defense will give you by formation that you have to take advantage of. I'm an old Wyatt/Markham Double Wing guy... I guess that's whay i like 2 tights so much. either that, or I' just nuts!

Markham and Wyatt are great Pioneers but a Guy named Steve Calande is the guy to watch as far as developing that offense. He was an excelent Single Wing Coach and has really developed the Double Wing. I like to shift in and out of the DW to traditional splits and run the triple option out of the double slot, Tight and one Tight formations. It's a work in progress but neither offense can be practiced for in a weeks time, let alone facing the nasty aspects of both. It's a personel game at that point.
