We love this play and it has been very good to us.
Wing-T guys call this down/belly down.
We run it out of split backs. Rules:
TE: vs. 9 tech (PST has a 5 tech) combo to the PSILB vs. a 7 tech go around him to the PSILB PST: vs. a 5 tech combo with TE; block 3 tech over PSG PSG: pull and kick out 1st man past PST Center: Cutoff NG; step playside to next level defender BSG/BST: Scoop FB: Attack outside leg of PST QB: Reverse pivot give ball to FB TB: Pitch path with QB.
Great play for us this past season.

Do you leave the OLB unblocked as your pitch key? If he starts peeking inside you run the Down Option? I know in the Wing-T or Flexbone the Wingback blocks the OLB, or at least makes sure he doesnt just attack the dive, but out of the I or split-backs there would be no wing (unless you run one). Curious on this blocking scheme because we are thinking about adding this play out of the Stack-I and sending the FB away to hold the MLB, and have the dive back be the middle back in the stack. We wouldnt have to block the MLB and could then block TE on OLB. We see mostly 4i techs against the 50 fronts we see.

Which formation do you want it drawn from? To the TE or SE? With a lead back? Describe the formation and you will have a diagram. What system (Option? Wing T?, etc.)
