What is the best book on the option you have ever read? Feel free to name a couple. Also feel free to name the ones that aren't worth the money.

Jim Wackers book sure helped me get started(I found the book in our school library!). I also like Jerry Campbell's book How to Install the Complete Option Package. It shows different blocking packages and formations to run the same play agianst different defenses. Don't have to agree with them all but it does provide food for thought. I think for myself, Wacker's book helped me start to understand the option. Good question Coach.

coach,
since i'm a split back guy, i had to say Wacker and Morton's great book on the veer offense...but also don't discount the great Nike Manuals...the ones from the early 80's are chalked full of option material ...splitveer/wishbone........
take care,
